Start 2020 off write with the FREE Writer's Toolbox Writing Workshop--Tuesday, January 21st at 7PM--sponsored by NESCBWI:

The Room to Write would like to extend a cordial invitation to area writers of all levels, genres and financial means to improve their craft at the upcoming Writer’s Toolbox Writing Workshop with Kristine Asselin. This writing workshop is being offered FREE of charge thanks to financial sponsorship from the New England Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (NESCBWI), as part of their ShopTalk series, and in space provided by Wakefield’s Beebe Memorial Library.

Join author Kristine Asselin on Tuesday, January 21st from 7:00 to 8:30 PM as she shares specific examples from published books to demonstrate how to infuse your writing with more detail and pull your reader into your story. Come prepared to write as participants will workshop their own writing samples. You'll never be accused of “telling” not “showing” again!

Kristine Asselin is the author of sixteen works of children’s nonfiction as well as the YA novels Any Way You Slice It and Falling for Wonder Boy and co-author of the middle grade novel The Art of the Swap. Please note that this workshop is open to and applicable to writers of all genres—not just those who write for children.

Space is limited, so be sure to register online HERE or by calling the Wakefield Library Reference Desk at 781-246-6334 to reserve a spot. Links for online registration can be found at The Room to Write’s site (theroomtowrite.org), the Beebe Memorial Library site (wakefieldlibrary.org) or by finding the Wakefield Library on facebook. We look forward to learning and writing alongside you at the workshop!
